Non-Smoking Law Public Meeting for Local Businesses - July 2nd

As of July 1, Indiana's new non-smoking law goes into effect.  This law bans smoking in buildings where the public is permitted throughout the entire State of Indiana, except for bars and taverns, some private clubs such as fraternal and veteran's organizations, casinos, and retail tobacco shops.

S.R. 135 Ohio River Bridge Repair & Painting Project

The Indiana Department of Transportation plans to begin restricting lanes on State Road 135 at the Matthew Welsh bridge near Mauckport on Monday (JULY 10).  Closure of a 1500-foot section of the southbound lane will initiate a $7 million 2-year project to repair and repaint the structure that spans the Ohio River between Harrison County, Indiana and Meade County,


SBA Disaster Loans Available to Harrison County for April Severe Storms

As the result of a Presidential Disaster Declaration in Kentucky, U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) low interest disaster loans are available to Clark, Floyd and Harrison in Indiana.
